Rita's Summer Soda Series: Homemade Grapefruit 'Ting

Fruity and fresh is the name of the game when it comes to our Summer Soda Series in collaboration with Rita’s. They keep delivering the most simple, tropical soft drinks and we keep sipping up! Their latest instalment is a playful take on Ting - a fizzy Caribbean grapefruit drink you can find in the chillers of most corner shops across London. This one is a straight-up version with a kick of grapefruit bitters to enhance that sharp, citrusy tang. And with the most enticing of pinky-orange hues, we’re getting some serious colour palette inspiration too.

Ingredients:

Two fresh grapefruits
20ml of sugar syrup (just combine one part sugar, one part hot water and leave to chill)
Grapefruit bitters
Soda water
Ice

Method:
  1. Squeeze the juice of two grapefruits to make roughly 60ml of freshly squeezed juice.
  2. Pour into a glass with a couple of dashes of grapefruit bitters and the sugar syrup.
  3. Fill with ice, top up with soda water and give a good stir.
  4. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit and enjoy!
