Reads: Juergen Teller, go-sees

We are big fans of clean, simple portraits that focus on the individuality of their subject without over the top set design or distracting locations, making Juergen Teller’s Go- Sees one of our favourite photographic books.

From May 1998 – May 1999 Teller was visited by hundreds of girls, sent to his studio by their agencies in the hope of being booked for a shoot. The book compiles portraits of every single girl that came to his door, subverting the fashion industries endless strive to find the ‘next big thing’. Instead, the images showcase every model regardless of whether they were booked or not.

The result is a beautifully delicate set of photographs that highlight the candid uniqueness of the girls in their quest for success. Juergen’s series also provides an insight into the amount of fresh faced beauties that remain undiscovered. Perfect saturated hues for the oncoming spring that’s starting to make an appearance!
