Masterclass: Temporary colour

To colour or not to colour? that is the question! We’ve been going on about pastel hues in particular for quite some time now, citing our love for unexpected shades and frosty coloured dip dyes.

One question we’re continually asked when it comes to out of the box colour is “how long will it last?” The truth is no one can guarantee 100% how long a temporary colour will last, it depends on many factors. Hair condition, strength and quite simply how often you wash your hair (see our post about hair washing HERE) can all influence how long your temporary colour will or wont last. Furthermore, there is no guarantee that a temporary colour will completely wash out and leave your hair looking untouched.

“Be wary of cheap, shop bought temporary colour” says Glasshouse owner, Olivia. “You run the risk of staining your hair and requiring serious colour correction!”

If you’re getting scared about colouring your hair, please don’t despair! To achieve a head-turning hair colour without the commitment, Glasshouse suggests using No Limits Temporary Colour from our in-salon brand, Organic Colour Systems. Gentle enough to be used regularly and available in either violet, red, orange or yellow! You can use No Limits straight out of the bottle to achieve a vibrant hair colour or mix them with our conditioners and treatments to create a creamy pastel shade. No Limits is the safest way to kick your colour into high gear whilst being (almost) guaranteed to wash away.
