Girls on film: Natalie Portman in Léon

Everyone knows Natalie Portman is one of Hollywood’s brightest shining stars, starting at the tender age of twelve in the classic, foreign language thriller, Léon: The Professional. Playing a pre-pubescent hit woman with a troubled past, Portman dazzled audience in her breakout role alongside fellow film veterans, Gary Oldman and Jean Reno.

What’s really got us in a spin, as well as Nat’s great acting of course, is the young starlet’s fashion forward do’, which still just looks just as fabulous today as it did way back in ’94. Those looking to emulate Natalie’s hard edge look, should ask their stylist for a short straight bob above the jawline with a feathered blunt fringe that sits just in the middle of the forehead. Keep in mind that this look is perfect for those looking for something both fashionable and a little extreme (which is why we love it!) but will best suit babes with delicate, pixie-like facial features a la Miss Portman.
